Cheap Fuel in Cumbria

Why We Do This

We want drivers in Cumbria to know where the cheapest fuel is, every day. With about 510,680 people living in Cumbria, even 10% of them saving 1p a litre would keep about £359,000 a year in local pockets — and at 5p a litre, about £1.7 million.

We know not everyone will use us. But we're working to help as many people as we can, in every borough, town and county in the UK, save money every time they fill up.

Keeping your tyres at the right pressure and easing off the speed both save fuel — see our hints and tips.

Based on: population 510,680 (ONS, mid-2024; summed from its councils; via citypopulation.de); 6,200 miles a year for an average petrol car (DfT National Travel Survey 2024, NTS0901); 40 mpg (our assumption) = about 704 litres a year each. Figures rounded down.
